Maryland’s pollution problem is coming from inside the house

Maryland has a pollution problem. A recent report from the Sierra Club reveals that over the past several years, residents across Maryland have lived with rising levels of ozone pollution that violate minimum federal air quality standards — and our homes and buildings are a major culprit. Progress on reducing climate-warming pollution from buildings isn’t much better. While Maryland has made significant progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions overall, emissions from residential buildings dropped only 4%, and emissions from commercial buildings have increased.
